Pressing angle changes which part of the chest does the most work: flat presses hit the mid-chest hardest, incline shifts load to the upper fibers, and dips bias the lower chest with heavy triceps involvement. Barbell and dumbbell pressing builds the base; cable and machine flyes add isolated stretch and contraction work on top.
